Salt Chlorine Generators, also referred to as Salt Chlorinators, Saltwater Chlorinators or Salt Chlorinating Systems are actually miniaturized chlorine manufacturing plants:  the same technology is utilized.  The devices electrolytically convert salt, in the pool or spa water, into chlorine as it passes over specially coated titanium electrode plates.  Salt must be added to the pool or spa prior to start up, as directed.  Thereafter, salt need only be added occasionally, to replace that lost due to splash out, pump outs or backwashing.  The device generates Free Chlorine and destroys odorous and irritating chloramines, as the water passes through the cell.  Properly used, there is much less sensation of chlorine being present.  The other water analysis parameters must be maintained, as with any chlorine-maintained pool.  It is easy-to-use, convenient, eliminates chlorine handling & storage, reduces pool chemistry adjustments and lends itself to pool automation.  Just click, in the panels below, to access additional product information and website links.

The Model SR Salt Chlorine Generator is a self-contained purification system, that utilizes a natural process to generate pure chlorine. The electrolytic process uses a very low concentration of salt, 2500 PPM, which is  less than a teaspoon per gallon.  It generates free chlorine and helps destroy the irritating and odorous forms of chlorine.  The chlorine continuously kills bacteria and algae and then reverts back to salt. This indefinite cycle leaves the water feeling silky, soft, refreshing and sparkling clear!
